Excellent passing and big kicks in the Minis games

The Cobar Junior Soccer Club’s minis teams, the Purple Wanderers, Green Rangers, Orange Rovers and Red United sides lined up for a photo on Saturday morning after their games

The Minis players swarmed on to the soccer fields at Ward Oval on Saturday morning keen to get their games started.
This week the Orange Rovers came up against the Purple Wanderers while the Green Rangers took on the Red United team.
Some excellent passing and big kicks kept the teams spread around the field, with some fast goals being netted.
Xavier Foster and Abigail Theakston got to enjoy some fresh cinnamon donuts after their games as winners of the Cobar Hotbake awards, while Cooper Trudgett and Logan McKenzie earnt the Gumnut Milkshake vouchers.
In the Mids competition, Liverpool were up against Rovers in the first game.
Rovers played a good defensive game but were unable to hold off Liverpool who ulti-mately sneaked a goal through to narrowly win 1-0.
Indigo Mundy and William Davis-Manns took home the Gumnut Milkshake awards.
In the second Mids game, United showed great improvement as they prevailed against the strong Rangers team.
Both Jeremiah McMillan and Henry Ntamuhanga found the back of the net to goal for United, while Charlie Nicholson scored for Rangers bringing the end result to 2-1.
Abel Nilson and Charlie Nicholson re-ceived the Cobar Hotbake Donut Awards.
Some seriously good passing and teamwork ended in a 5-2 victory for the Rangers in the Seniors game.
Ethan McLeod scored three goals for his Rangers team, while Spurs’ two goals were netted by Jacob Theakston.
The Gumnut Milkshake awards were earnt by Braiden Jones and Malcolm Gillette.
With only two games left until the grand final, Rangers have a narrow one game win advantage over Spurs in the competition
