Empire continues to dominate in darts

The Empire Hotel’s darts team, the Empire Barflies, have continued their dominance of the local darts competition with another win last week over Golfie Spearchuckers.

The Empire Barflies had a convincing 9-2 win.

In the other games played last week Western 180s narrowly beat Grand Slams 6-5; RSL Outlaws had an easy 8-3 win over Western Benchwarmers; and Golfie Gophers just got the better of Golfie Dilligaf to win their game by a close margin of 6-5.

Hundreds and high scores from last week’s games were thrown by: Golfie Dilligaf—Paul Cohen 100; Golfie Gophers—Tequila Hooker 100 and Chris Hooker 100; RSL Outlaws—Shane Haddy 180, 125, 122, 140, Maurice Bell 100, Don Roberts 100, 100, Kyle Roberts 100, 100 and Tony Brown 100, 100, 118, 100; Western Benchwarmers—Zach Finn 100, 100 and Ella Moratti 124; Empire Barflies—Craig Youd 100 and Brian Sylvester 140; Golfie Spearchuckers—Scotty Mayne 100 and Bian Smith 100, 100, 100; Western 180s—Zac Griffiths 100, Jacob Ryan 100 and Waylon Ward 101,140; Grand Slams—Robert Childs 138 and 100.

Brian Sylvester had the Men’s Highest Peg Out with 77 while the Ladies Highest Peg Out score was 40 thrown by both Latisha Bennett and Kylie Sutton Tiffen.

The results of the Cobar Darts Open played over the weekend were not available at the time of going to print. There are no games tonight due to the NRL State of Origin.
