Egan claims his fourth championship

Jay Egan took out the A Grade division of the Men’s Golf Championships winning by five shots after he finished with a score of two over par on Saturday.

Egan was declared the winner (for the 4th time) after rain on Saturday night and Sunday morning resulted in the two-day event being cut back to 27 holes.

Alec Fraser finished in second place, two shots clear of brother Mark Fraser in third place.

In B Grade, Scott Mayne took out the 2024 title after finishing four shots clear of Greg Clark in second place and Brien Obray won C Grade unopposed.

Nearest to the Pin winners were Scott Toomey on the 3rd hole, Alec Fraser won the prize on the 8th and Egan claimed the pin win on the 15th hole.

Unfortunately the BRilliams Copper City Classic on Sunday could not be completed due to the rain.

It will be played in the coming weeks.
