The Services Club Outdoor Cookoff on Saturday had eight teams cooking a variety of mouth watering food that included Pork Burnt Ends, loaded fries, crepes and waffles. Pictured from the winning team, JJJM, are Joelle Deppeler, Josh Warren and Jorgia Hibbins. Their roast lamb, stuffed homegrown pumpkin and savory damper was declared the best on offer. Team ‘Smoke my Meat’ (Jarrod Barraclough and family) were the runners-up with their spicy chicken wings and bacon wrapped stuffed snags getting the thumbs-up and the Cobar High School Stage 5 team, Westwood’s Piglets, were third. Over $800 was raised on the day with all teams donating their proceeds to Veteran Suicide Prevention.
