Deck the halls and the parade floats

Despite it being 40.2 degrees at 7pm on Friday night when the Cobar Business Association’s annual Christmas Street Parade kicked off, there was still a big crowd in attendance with the parade declared to be “bigger and better than last year”. Pictured above is this year’s
winning float, The Pink Galah’s Paint & Sip mobile workshop. Cobar Shire Council’s decorated grader (top right), loader, garbage truck and other vehicles along with MAC/CSA Mine’s entries including an Agi truck (bottom right) were named as joint winners of the Parade Spirit Award and shared the Margaret’s Choice trophy. Also pictured at middle right is Santa, Mrs Claus, and one of their elves catching a lift with the local firefighters.
