CSA Mine recognises its long serving employees

CSA Mine marked 20 years of service for 11 of its employees last week with a celebration dinner at the Cobar Bowling & Golf Club.

Wednesday November 16 was the chosen date to celebrate with seven members of the team having all started their working careers at the mine on that date 20 years ago.

The group of seven includes: Greg Black, Lionel Dell, Wayne Mackay, Kevin Martin, Ken McMillan, Ross Robinson and Gary Smith.

Also included in the 20 years celebrations was Allan ‘Afghan’ Fazulla who marked 20 years on September 23, Allan Tait (October 5), Robert Cownie (November 1) and Mark Edgecumbe will celebrate 20 years on February 10, 2023).

The dinner was catered by Classique Catering with a celebration cake made by Tracey Fazulla in recognition of 20 Years of service with Cobar Management Pty Ltd – CSA Mine.

A special mention was also given to Peter Cartner who celebrated 40 years at CSA Mine, and 23 of those years has been with Cobar Management Pty Ltd.

CSA Mine General Manager Peter Christen congratulated the employees on reaching such an “exceptional milestone”.

“Just chatting during the evening it was great to hear how passionate they are about the mine and the town,” Mr Christen said.

“They all have a great wealth of experience and knowledge through their various roles over their tenure at CSA.”
