competition last week when they were knocked from the top spot by Blossoms

The Concrete Cowboys were knocked from their high horse in the Open Mixed Touch competition last week when the Blossoms beat the previously unbeaten team.

Last season’s grand final winners, the Concrete Cowboys had started this season in the same vein winning the first three rounds.

However they met their match in Round 4 when they came up against the Blossoms who comprehensively beat them 14-6.

Blossoms are now fast becoming the favourites to take out the title this season.

James McMullen led the Blossoms’ scoring with three tries with Sarah Nicholson and Sosie Barton scoring doubles.

Ella Oborn and Kai Taylor touched down for their other points.

In reply, Chris Crotty, Toby Greenwood and Zac Broughton scored twice each for Concrete Cowboys.

Nicholson, Taylor and Broughton earned the referee’s Best & Fairest points…see this week’s edition for full report.
