Cobar High School held their end of year awards ceremony last Wednesday at the school’s multi purpose centre to recognise the students’ achievements of 2015.
The Caltex Award for best all rounder in the senior school and the DUX Award was earned by Callum Sinclair.
Other perpetual award winners were: 1988 Year 12 Award for the best all rounder in the junior school and the SRC Award for contribution and efforts—Abby Carswell; CHS Ex Student Award for achievement—Jessica Nicholson; Reuben F Scarf Award for commitment—Stacie Lehmann; Kath Miles Memorial Award for cooperation and services—Thomas Jones; Year 12 1995 Award for consistency and participation and Bill Venner Memorial Award for history—Niamh Urquhart; JKM Dynamic Fitness Awards for Citizenship—Katherine Dennis and Owen Potter; AM Burgess Scholarships—Jye Robinson and Stephanie Bastian; Australian Defence Force Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Awards—Emily Carswell and Callum Sinclair.
The Paul Cotterill Award for interest and participation in several sports by a boy was awarded to Nicholas Buckman; Cath Carroll Award for interest and participation in several sports by a girl—Brennah Aumua; Bruce Mitchell Award for outstanding sportsmanship by a boy—Andrew Rorke; Jan Mitchell Award for outstanding sportsmanship by a girl—Katherine Dennis; Bill and Chatie Prisk Memorial Award for the most outstanding sportsperson for 2015—Hannah Carroll; Pierre De Coubertin Award for sporting achievements and demonstration of endeavours which are consistent with the aims of the Olympic movement—Bryan Mitchell; NSW Premier’s Sporting Challenge award—Kody Martin; and the Anita Slater (Nee Winders) Memorial Award for outstanding participation in sport—Callum Sinclair.
