The Cobar Health Service has won a Western NSW Local Health District Living Quality & Safety Health and Innovation Award.
The district awards celebrate innovation, quality and safety in health care with staff
and teams from across the Local Health District submitting entries leading up to the awards.
A total of 70 projects focussing on ways better health results can be achieved for patients through innovation were received across 11 project award categories.
Award finalists presented their projects at a symposium last week, allowing projects to be showcased to staff and managers from across the district.
The Chief Executive Award was awarded to Cobar Health Service’s project ‘partnering patients for safer discharges’ for their outstanding work in improving the patient’s journey through systematic discharge planning.
