Locals didn’t let a little wet weather get in the way of enjoying the 2017 Cobar Show, with strong crowds still attending on Friday night and Saturday. Sarah McClure (right) was named Teen Showgirl while Summer Rose Stingemore (left) was named runner up. Sideshow alley was popular with the kids, with new rides including the stomach-churning Freak Out ride, while the Young Farmer Challenge and Nakadoo Bullride provided the Friday night entertainment along with the ever-impressive CSA fireworks display. Crowds flocked to the main pavilion which was filled with local fruits and vegetables, baking, floral arrangements, artworks and handicraft, and the wool, sheep and poultry pavilions showed off the region’s best agricultural produce. Saturday morning’s Pet Show, Dog Jumping and Dog Race also proved popular.
