An excellent field of 60 bowlers turned out
for the annual Cobar Bowling & Golf Club
President’s Day on Sunday.
The greens were in tip-top condition as was
the spectacular lunch provided by Rhonda Hudson
and her side kick Doug.
A number of teams from Hillston and Bourke
along with their respective club presidents, Guy
Felton and Mark O’Shannessy attended.
The team of Daniel Holt, Dean ‘Bogga’
McLeod and Ian Prendergast finished as the
overall winners with the minor placings going
to Kurt Dickson, Joan Dickson and Mark
O’Shannessey and the team of David
Schofield, Marlene Wynd and Randall Hall.
The winners of the morning round were Tony
Brown, Bian Smith and Craig Grimmond who
flogged the Men’s President Jim Goonrey and
his team of John Fitzgerald and Peter ‘Skeet’
Goonrey. The afternoon winners were David
‘Ooze’ Knight, Barry Bargwanna and Frank
Singleton who had an easy win over the team
consisting of Stuart Simpson, Narelle Kriz and
Sandra Zazoniuk.
