The Cobar Athletics & Triathlon Squad (CATS) December triathlon event on Sunday attracted a field of 13 competitors.

First time competitor Ben O’Kane, who was first over the line, underestimated his ability and completed the Long Course (of a 500m swim/ 20km ride/ 4km run) in a time of 1hr 10min 31sec, five minutes better than his estimation.

Anthony Wrigley, who did his best to catch O’Kane, was quickest over the Long Course finishing in a time of 1.04.34.

Wrigley’s time was the fastest Long Course time this season.

The Last Drinks team of Murray Harland (swim), Trudy Griffiths (ride) and Grey McKervey (run) clocked in at 1.07.22 which was the best team time to date for the Long Course for the 2018/2019 season.
