In the Cobar Junior Soccer Club’s Seniors competition on Saturday, Miami FC recorded an 8-3 victory over Celtic FC in their match with Ashton Campbell responsible for four goals for his Miami FC team.

Ryan Jiang added three while Charles Mamhunze also chipped in with one goal.

For Celtic FC, Isla McKervey scored twice and Edwin Palma slipped one past the goalie.

In the Mids division, Black Knights defeated the Redbacks, 3-2, in a very closely contested match. The Preisig brothers were responsible for Black Knights’ goals with Max scoring twice and Jack landed their third.

Brayden Mukarati and Noah Seymour were the goal scorers for The Redbacks.

In the other Mids game, the Polar Bears finished with a 5-2 win over the Bengal Tigers.

Three of Polar Bears’ points came off the boot of Hudson Neale, while Hunter Compton and Koby Maguire also added a goal each.

Charlee Fenton and Davey Mckay scored for the Bengal Tigers.

In the Minis competition, the Raging Rhinos were in fine form against Pitch Pirates and claimed an 8-nil victory.

Baxter Woods starred with four goals, Lewis Shepherd slotted in two, while Arthur Neale and Zara Shepherd also contributed one goal each to their big tally.

The Cornish Dragons secured a hard fought 2-1 win over the Sky Strikers.

Charlie Mckay and Spencer Fugar found the back of the net for the Cornish Dragons, while Levi Tiffen scored Sky Strikers’ lone goal.

Busy Bees defeated Maroon Miners 5-2 in their contest with Busy Bees’ Kaiden Hamilton leading the way with three goals and Everleigh Foster and Angus Coffey also landed a goal each for Busy Bees. For the Maroon Miners, Zariah Sariman and Claire Thompson both found the back of the net.

This week’s Gumnut Milkshake Awards were presented to Max DeJonge, Bailey Neale, Ivy Joss, Avah Flack-Hogan, Paisley Harvey, Baxter Woods and Everleigh Foster.

Cobar Hot Bake Donut Awards went to Jennifer Jeremic, Ralph Behsman, Beau Brown, Ivie Van-Dam, Ella Shepherdson, Henry Collingridge and Zariah Sariman.

The Shell Slushie Awards were collected by  Ashton Campbell, Queena Jiang, Koby Maguire, Brayden Mukarati, Charlie Mckay, Dante Mamhunze and Angus Coffey.
