Boucher Pavilion was chock-a-block with entries

The Boucher Pavilion was chock-a-block full for this year’s Cobar Show with 1,460 entries from 214 competitors, including a phenomenal 170 entries from Louisa Kleu, this year’s Most Successful Exhibitor.

The Most Successful Junior Boy Exhibitor was Ashton Campbell and Leila Cavalot was the Most Successful Junior Girl Exhibitor.

The Jan Snelson Memorial Encouragement Award wen to Jake McKervey and Isabella Best; Eva Halliger took home the Most Successful prizes in Fruit & Eggs, Flowers, and Floral Art-Open; Michael Cryer was the Most Successful in Vegetables; Champion Bloom and Champion Red Rose went to Jenny Prince; Champion Rose was Jack Priesig; Elizabeth Whiteman was the Novice Most Successful in Floral Art; and Louisa Kleu was the Most Successful in Cooking, Jams & Preserves, Needlework and also took home the Anne Evans Award for her jam.

Colleen Flynn was Professional Patchwork & Applique’s Most Successful with Jenny Ilett the Novice winner. Kylie Harvey was Knitting & Crochet’s Most Successful in Professional with Louisa Kleu taking the Novice prize. Nicole Smith was the Nan Evans Memorial Prize winner for Best Exhibitor in Knitting and Crochet. Craft’s Most Successful was Christina Gordon. Anita Neate was Open Fine Arts’ Most Successful, Bianca Lane was the Novice Fine Arts Most Successful, and the Excellence Award went to Ann-Maree Johnson.

Photography was an extremely tough competition with Narelle Green the Most Successful.

In Cake Decorating, Louisa Kleu won the  adults section and Lilly Fairfull the junior  with their gorgeous horse-themed cakes.

The Junior Cooking winners were Joanna McClure, Aubree Everingham, Jamie Everingham and William Scales. Junior Floral Art winners included  Rhylee Nicholson, joint winners Jamie Everingham, Colt Evans and Fletcher Ung, and in the 0-5 Theo Landale was the winner. Collecting Junior Craft prizes were Benjamin Lansdowne, Abigail Theakston, Walter Landale and Eadie Bishop while in Junior Photography the winners were Michaela Tonissen, Grace Mackay, George Prince and Bill Prince.

The winners in the Junior Lego & Construction Kits section were: Hayley Wyllie, Chris Florance, joint winners: Walter Landale and Levi Prince, joint winners Sullivan Hopkins, Skylar Jebb and Dara Martin.

Junior Fine Arts—Isobel Willard, joint winners Grace Mackay and Abigail Theakston, Logan Germon, and Leila Cavalot.

The Excellence Award went to Isobel Willard.

The CWA Primary Product Competition winners were Michael Arnold in the colouring-in section and Grace Mackay for the written story.

Michael and Grace will now be going onto to compete at CWA’s regional level competition.
