The Cobar Roosters Under 15s team played a thrilling game with Dubbo South in the elimination semi final of the Dubbo & District Junior Rugby League competition on Saturday.
There was just a converted try the difference in the game with Dubbo South narrowly winning 28-22.
Cobar’s tries were scored by Tyson Brilley (2), Zeb Coughlan and Chris Crotty.
Tyson was also responsible for three conversions.
“Tyson had a fantastic game,” Cobar Junior Rugby League president Simone Knight reported of the game.
“The referee said to me ‘he’s going to play in the NRL one day’.”
The loss knocked the Cobar side out of this year’s competition.
“We’re very proud of all the boys, they are disappointed but they did great,” she said.
Mrs Knight said it had been a very busy and very successful season which will officially come to an end tomorrow with the club’s presentation day.
