Cobar High School has recently welcomed two new teachers to their staff.

TAS teacher (Technological and Applied Studies) Nick Collins moved to Cobar a couple of weeks ago from Condobolin with his wife and two young children.

“We are finding Cobar very welcoming and friendly which is what we hoped for in a small country town,” he said.

“I am an energetic teacher who wants to push the design elements that go into a timber or metal project.

“In the near future, I hope parents can be even more proud of the projects that Cobar High School students bring home from my classes.

“My job as a tech teacher is to allow students to graduate with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to be a handy and useful member of society,” Mr Collins said.

Science teacher Agnieszka Wiklendt has come from the central coast after having worked as a microbiologist for 11 years in a Sydney pathology laboratory.

“I loved the sound of working as a teacher in Cobar so here I am!” she said.
