Nutrien Russell sponsored both the men’s
and ladies golf Stableford competitions on
Sunday with Ann Dunn finishing as the
ladies winner while Scott Mayne came out
on top in the men’s competition.
The ladies game attracted 16 competitors
and resulted in a close finish.
Dunn had 37 points to claim the win with
Marlene Wynd the runner-up, just behind with
36.
Then followed Sue Phillips (35), Narelle
Kriz and Susan Goonrey (34 each), Sally Bannister
(32), Barb Barklimore (31) and Karen
Manns on 30.
Nearest the Pin winners on the 3rd hole were
Fay Hardwick, Sue Phillips and Pat Polack
while on the 15th hole Narelle Kriz, Karen
Manns and Reina Cross were closest to the
flag.
The men’s event attracted 22 players with
in-form Mayne the winner with 42 stableford
points.
Will Brown finished in second place with 40
stableford points.
A countback was then required to separate
Jason Hampel in third place and Geoff Dunne
in 4th place, after both finished with 39 stableford
points.
Geoff Rorke finished in 5th place with 37.
Nearest the Pin prizes were won by Mayne
on the 3rd hole, Dunne took out the 7th hole
and Steve Manns collected the prize on the 8th
