The Commonwealth Bank Cobar branch employees have donated $500 to the United Hospital Auxiliary (UHA) Cobar Branch as part of a nationwide community donation program.
Commonwealth Bank Cobar branch manag-er Donovan Cornwell said the bank is com-mitted to driving positive change within the communities in which it serves to make a difference locally and for all Australians.
He said as part of this, the bank has again pledged to donate a further $400,000 national-ly, to recognise those organisations that make a difference to the communities in which they operate.
“Each Commonwealth Bank branch and customer-facing team has been allocated $500 to donate to causes important to their local community,” Mr Cornwell said.
“Commonwealth Bank’s Cobar branch team voted to support the great work of the Cobar UHA committee.
“More than ever, communities across Aus-tralia are feeling the effects of lockdowns and other pandemic-related impacts, so this is one small way we can champion those local or-ganisations who continue to do good work within our community.
“We are pleased to support UHA Cobar,” he said.
“In particular, UHA Cobar have not had many opportunities to fundraise this year, so it’s great to be able to support them in this great work.”
The Cobar Hospital Auxiliary committee is made up of a group of volunteers who fund-raise for patient comfort and care at the local hospital.
