A very generous donation of $15,000 from Australian mining and exploration company, Sandfire Resources, has helped the Cobar Little Athletics Club to update their equipment. Little A’s club president Troy Knight is pictured above with Sandfire Resources’ project geologist Matthew Porter on Monday with some of the newly purchased equipment which includes 50 hurdles and a starter/PA system. Mr Porter said as Sandfire Resources were new to the area they were keen to do what they could to help the community and were pleased to be able to help locals kids to become active and engaged in local sport.
