What Ever had to work hard for their win

After being down seven goals at half time in their Mixed Indoor Netball match last Tuesday night, Hustlers fought their way back into the game to make What Ever work hard for their eventual three point win.

A big first half effort saw What Ever leading 7-3 at the first break and by halftime they had extended that to a comfortable 14-7 lead.

What Ever was also still well ahead at three-quarter time with the margin, 20-12 in their favour.

A last ditch effort in the final quarter by Hustlers saw them outpoint What Ever, 7-2, and the game almost resulted in an upset, however What Ever held on for a three points win, with the final score 22-19.

What Ever’s Nathan Prince again picked up Best and Fairest points along with team mates Hank Ung and Adrienne Pierini while Hustlers’ best on court were Peta Woods, Brianna Watson and Chris Deighton.

The Opposition continued their unsurpassed run in this season’s competition and last week trounced JNB Ball Huggers 32-18.

Josh Brown, Zach Finn, Kym Sutton and their captain Ella Moratti led the way for The Opposition who controlled the game from start to finish.

The Opposition had a big first quarter outpointing JNB Ball Huggers 13-2 thanks to great shooting by Sutton which got them off to a good start before JNB Ball Huggers turned the tables in the second quarter to outpoint The Opposition 8-4.

The Opposition then got back on track with a big third quarter effort and closed out the match with a 14 points win.

Jacob Ryan and Conor Bradwell collected Best and Fairest points for their JNB Ball Huggers team.
