Twilight Bowls is back at the Golfie and already the Jackpot has gone off.
Friday night’s fours game winners, Tony ‘Polly’ Polack, visitor Lindsay (no surname given), Allan Gardoll and Ray Fellows claimed the Twilight Bowls Jackpot prize of $345 after they finished with a +3 win.
Team Polly accounted for their opposition of John ‘Shark’ Daly, Karen Daly, Greg Clark and David ‘Turk’ Kershaw.
Only one point separated the teams all evening until, on the very last end, Team Polly triumphed.
Tony Polack joined up with David ‘Turk’ Kershaw to finish as the outright winners of the Sunday Social Bowls competition.
They recorded a whopping +17 win over Les Yarham and John Daly.
The runners-up on +12 were David ‘Ooze’ Knight and Paul Kershaw who won their match with Peter ‘Skeet’ Goonrey and Darryl ‘Dasha’ Jermyn.
Allan Knight and Greg Clark finished as +5 winners in their game with Doug Hudson and Jim Nicholls.
Craig ‘Duck’ Grimmond and Mick McManus recorded a +4 victory against Michael Sargent and David Thomas.
Karen Daly and Lex Lowe also had a +4 win up against John Goonrey and Jim Goonrey.
David ‘Ooze’ Knight was the lucky recipient of the George The Giraffe Award this week after his delightful wrong bias bowl skimmed across the greens into another team’s rink!
