A new season of darts commenced last Wednesday night with nine teams entering the new competition.
The highlight of round one was the first 180 score of the season, thrown by RSL Minors’ Tony Brown.
Golfie Ones & Fives, Empire Barflies, RSL and Western Grumblebums were all first round winners.
Western Grumblebums had a big 8-1 win over Golfie Spearchuckers; Golfie Ones & Fives defeated RSL Minors 5-4; Empire Barflies were too good for Golfie Dartaholics winning 5-4; and RSL beat RSL Dingoes in their match, also by a 5-4 margin.
The other team in the competition, Golfie Gophers, had the bye.

Brown’s 180 was the highest score of the week for the men while the ladies’ highest score was 160, recorded by Rachel Ward.
The men’s highest peg out was 65, recorded by John-Wayne Josephson, while the ladies’ highest was 40, thrown by Paige Coleman.
