The three Round 3 games played in the Open Mixed Touch competition last week were all one-sided affairs.
Blossoms were barely troubled in their 15-4 win over Phat Athletes; Concrete Cowboys easily accounted for Rusty Snails 11-2; and Fast Fades trounced Guns N Hoses 15-0.
Despite having close to a full complement, Phat Athletes were continuously outpaced by the speedy Blossoms outfit with Blossoms finishing as easy 15-4 winners.
Once again Sosie Barton led the scoring for her Blossoms team recording three touchdowns in last week’s game.
Team mate, James McMullen also crossed three times with Ella Oborn and Jaxon Burke landing two tries each. Adam Doherty (2) and Amie Hill were Phat Athletes’ try scorers.
McMullen, Barton and John Dunn (Blossoms) shared the game’s Best & Fairest points.
Six Concrete Cowboys players crossed for tries in their 11-2 win over Rusty Snails with Rori Urquhart and Zac Broughton scoring doubles. Bridgette Negfeldt, Ben Griffiths, Kai Greenwood and Tyler Coughlan were their other try scorers.
In reply, Mat Shepherd and Nathan Prince crossed for a try each for Rusty Snails.
B&F points went to Griffiths, Mark McBride (Rusty Snails) and Holly Watt (Rusty Snails).
Guns N Hoses were unable to hold off a big assault by Fast Fades in their Round 3 game, with the Fades finishing as easy 15-0 winners.
Fast Fades shared the scoring around with eight of their players crossing for tries.
Sam Best led with three tries, Tom Geikie and Damon Bruce scored doubles with Jayne Sharkey, Joe Regan, Krista Nardi, Ellie Smith and Ualta Tatupu Laloava crossing for a try each.
Regan, Smith, and Tatupu Laloava shared in the game’s B&F points.
In the other scheduled Round 3 game, Red Hot Chilli Steppers forfeited to Makos.
