Roosterettes outmatched by a better Baradine outfit

Cobar Roosterettes Brennah Aumua probing for gaps in Baradine’s defence in their
Castlereagh League Tag game at Baradine on Saturday

The Cobar Roosterettes were soundly
beaten by Baradine at Baradine on Saturday
in Round 2 of the Castlereagh League
Tag competition.
Missing a number of key players, including
their captain/coach Bianka Jacobson, the
Roosterettes were also without the services of
co-coach Jay Egan for Saturday’s game.
Led by their playmaker Maria Nagy, who
scored three tries and kicked seven goals, the
Baradine side easily accounted for the
Roosterettes 42-6.
Cobar’s points came from a try by Kayla
Hassan which was converted by Brianna
Watson.
In the other games played in the competition
on Saturday, Coonamble defeated Gilgandra
48-30 in a high scoring game and
Coonabarabran accounted for Gulgong 20-6.
Dunedoo had the bye.
Cobar will take on Coonabarabran at home
this Saturday in Round 3.
