New in the line up at CHS

There’s some familiar ‘local’ faces in the line up of new staff at Cobar High School (CHS) this year. Principal Shane Carter is pictured with the new starters: History/HSIE teacher Maddison Dillon (from Newcastle); Kel Colling (who’s returned to Cobar after six years to teach Literacy/Numeracy/English/HSIE); Helen Polack (who’s currently on long service leave from primary teaching and is trying something different as a Student Learning Support Officer with secondary students); Peta Woods (also a SLSO, who did two years of teaching at uni and has previously worked as a disability support worker); Amie Hill (came to Cobar High in 2008 as a teacher and this year has stepped up into the role of deputy principal); and Tony Lane (from South West Rocks, who has taught for 18 years, and came out of retirement to teach at Bourke last year and this year will be teaching TAS/Technology at Cobar High.)
