Men’s Shed partners RFS

The Copper City Men’s Shed recently embarked on a project in partnership with
Cobar HQ Rural Fire Service Brigade, assisting with the fit out of the Cobar HQ
Brigade Station on Railway Parade South. As part of the provision of new lockers the brigade wanted to incorporate some seating and so the local Men’s Shed were
approached. Brigade Captain Peter Cartner said “The station is about the town, the people and the wider community so it’s important that we incorporate local businesses and community groups where we can.” He said there will soon be an opportunity for the community to have a walk-through of the new facility after the official opening event (which was planned for April) was put on hold due to COVID-19.
