Junior league recognises outstanding players of the season

Some of Cobar Junior Rugby League’s 2024 perpetual trophy winners: Evan Wilson, Hannah Trudgett, Oscar Ryan, Isabelle Gillette, Lachlan Brookman, Jax Claus, Eli Martin and Jason Thou Cleary at the club’s end of season presentations on Sunday.

Cobar Junior Rugby League held their end of season presentations at Tom Knight Memorial Oval on Sunday to recognise the  efforts of all their players this season.

This year’s perpetual trophy winners were: Oscar Ryan—Tommy Good Top Tackler award; Isabelle Gillette—Tyronne Purcell Junior Clubman of 2024; Cohan Nicholson—Ted Brown Senior Clubman of 2024; Mason Hill—Shad Fisher Best & Fairest Minis Player; Jackson Campbell—Wayne Buckman Memorial Best & Fairest U8s Player; Jason Thou Cleary—Mark Smith Player with the Most Potential; Lachlan Brookman—Paul Goonrey Player with the Biggest Heart; Evan Wilson—2024 Rookie of the Year; Eli Martin—Overall Best & Fairest in the Club; Lachlan Brookman—Overall Top Try Scorer in the Club;  Hannah Trudgett—President’s Award; and Jax Claus collected the newly introduced Pride, Leadership, Growth Award…see this week’s edition for more award winners.
