The Jade Martin Band are fast becoming well known in the music industry and were recently asked to play at the 2016 Tamworth Country Music Festival (TCMF).
The band’s lead singer Jade Martin said after a weekend of playing gigs in Tamworth earlier this year at the Albert Hotel they were asked to play during the festival.
“A booking agent happened to be there watching and asked if we would be available to fill prime time slots at the Albert during the Country Music Festival.
“We accepted the offer and are doing four gigs at the Albert Hotel.
“We have also been invited to perform at the Tomkins Guitar Showcase during the festival in January,” Jade said.
The band has also been invited back to play at the 2016 Elmore Summer Send-Off Ball.
“We will be supporting one of Australia’s biggest country acts and personally one of the band’s favourites, the Wolfe Brothers!
Jade said the band has been busy this year playing gigs mostly out of town in Dubbo, Mudgee, Lithgow, Tamworth and at the Power Ranch in Victoria regularly.
“We are well known in the Dubbo area and we were asked to play at the Dubbo Show, which was fantastic!
“It’s rewarding to see our hard work paying off,” he said.
Jade said an opportunity has arisen for the band next year to support Mental As Anything, Pseudo Echo, Choirboys and Taxiride at an outdoor event in Orange.
As well as gigging regularly the band has been busy working on releasing their second single/film clip ‘Nothing I Want More’.
“The recent release of the film clip has come at a good time in the lead up to the festival.”
Jade said the single will be played on the Country Music Channel in the new year and their EP is now available on iTunes.
“This year the band has welcomed a new drummer from Dubbo, Brett Graham, and local guitarist Kahlia Martin to the team.
“It’s been hard work and a lot of road miles this year, but we are very excited to see what the future holds for us!” Jade said.
