Jacko Davey’s perfectly brilliant night

Jarred ‘Jacko’ Davey is a man that is almost perfect, well when it comes to swimming spot on to your nominated time that is!

At last Tuesday night’s Cobar Yabbies Senior Men’s Swimming Club competition Davey won all four handicapped events with near perfect times.

He recorded a time of 0.06 seconds of his nominated time to win the 30 metres event ahead of Murray Harland on 0.13 and Bill Fugar on 0.22.

Davey shared the 50 metres win with Harland with both recording 0.03 seconds off their nominated times.

Mick Davies was third on 0.09 just ahead of John Carswell on 0.12.

Davey’s time in the 100 metres swim was 0.16 seconds off his time while Scott Toomey was second on 0.50 and Matt Harland was third on 0.69.

Davey teamed up with Stephen Clark to win the Brace relay (swimming backwards with a kickboard on their chest) with a time of 0.28 seconds off their combined nominated times.

In second place was the team of Fugar and Ben Plush (0.38) while Toomey and Matt Harland were third.

Davey’s near perfect night last week now puts him as a front runner for the club’s new award that was introduced this season.

The ‘Setts One Night Stand Award’ will go to the swimmer with the lowest overall time on a competition night.

Davey’s total from the 30, 50 and 100 metres events last week was just 0.25 seconds.
