Hospital foundations take shape

Cobar High School student Will Griffiths (at front right) didn’t let last Wednesday’s wet and muddy conditions stop him from helping pour a load of concrete at the Multipurpose Heath Service work site. Will is completing work experience as part of his construction studies with new health service’s building contractor, Hutchinson Builders. Kylie Neville from Health Infrastructure reports the slab is being poured in five separate pours due to it’s size. Three of the five concrete slabs have been formed up and are sections of the main building and staff accommodation. Work will now start on the installation of in ground plumbing and electrical services.
