Hardwick was in fine golfing form

Fay Hardwick started the golfing week with a win in last Wednesday’s stroke event posting a 76 net score.

Daphne Cross was runner up on 77 net followed by Sally Bannister (79) and Karen Walsh with 80 net.

The best with the short stick were Geraldine Francisco in A Grade, Di Greer in B Grade and Karen Walsh for C Grade.

Continuing her good form, Fay Hardwick was the Stableford winner on Saturday scoring 40 points. Ann Dunn managed 35 points for second place, Sue Phillips had 33 in third place, followed by Fran Samios (32) and Geraldine Francisco (31).

The Nearest The Pin prizes on the 7th hole went to Fay Hardwick (A Grade), Daphne Cross (B Grade) and Alma Rogers (C Grade).

Numbers were low in Sunday’s Two Person Ambrose with some players choosing to stay at home out of the windy conditions.

Sally Bannister and Joy Josephson were drawn out together and won the Ambrose with 66¼ net. In second spot were Fay Hardwick and Sue Phillips (71¾ net) while sisters Geraldine Francisco and Susan Goonrey took out third place with 76½ net.

Nearest the Pin prizes were awarded to Sally Bannister (A Grade) and Sue Phillips (C Grade). Apparently the B Grade players couldn’t find the fairway!

The holiday Monday Par game could only attract eight players with Sally Bannister the winner with an even card and she also picked up the Nearest the Pin prize on the 11th hole for A Grade. Glenis Prisk was runner-up with -1 (and had the Nearest the Pin for C Grade).

Wan Sipatsa posted -2 for third place.

Once again the Nearest the Pin prize for B Grade went begging as the fairway wasn’t quite wide enough!

Saturday’s scheduled Captain versus President’s Day has been moved to a later date as Nyngan try again to host their Men’s and Women’s combined Open. A Stableford game will be played at home for those not travelling. Sunday’s game is a Stroke.—T’d Off
