Frasers finish in front in Foursomes

Cobar’s men golfers contested the annual Foursomes Championships over 27 holes on Saturday.

The favorites, the two Fraser boys, Alec and Mark, were going to be a hard combination to beat if they played up to their ability. And they did with the boys beating their old man, Stewart Fraser, who had teamed up with Jay Egan, by five strokes to take out the A Grade Championships. Third place went to the combination of Peter ‘Ding’ Lawrence and Peter Robinson.

B Grade was won by the ‘Beagle Boys’ of Cobar golf, Greg Clark and Steve Manns.

The best net score of the day was recorded by the team of David Tomek and Sean Bayliss with 110½.

Only one Nearest the Pin prize was won and that was by Alec Fraser on the 3rd hole…Full report in this week’s edition out now!
