Family Fun Day was a whole lot of fun

The Cobar Youth Council put on a great day of family fun at Drummond Park on Saturday. With perfect weather for the event, kids of all ages (and their parents) could take part in a range of water fun including riding the waterslides, running around in hamster balls, riding a mechanical surf board or testing out the jumping castles. There was also lots of entertainment with demonstrations and competitions on BMX, blades, boards and scooters with Unchained BMX at the Peak Skate Park, a visit from Disney characters and a completely crazy clown that kept young children amused for hours. There was also face painting, temporary tattoos, balloons and a range of food and market stalls. The event was presented by the Cobar Youth Council and supported by Cobar Shire Council and Peak Gold Mines. The day was also partly funded by a grant that council had received from The Heart Foundation.
