Connecting over coffee

As part of Mental Health Month in October, Cobar’s Mental Health Network group kicked off their monthly meeting with a chat and morning tea last Thursday at the library. Network chair Laura Ah-See from Interrelate said the morning tea was an opportunity for the their members to support each other in their roles in the
community. “Connecting with others is important,” Laura said. The meeting was well attended with members discussing a number of upcoming training options, mental health promotions and suicide prevention awareness initiatives. The meeting also reflected on recent events including the Psychs on Bikes visit, the Night for our Farmers and Cobar High School’s R U OK Day.
