Cobar marks 100 years of Armistice

Cobar 221 Army Cadet Unit members Sandie Mitchell and Marley Jones carried out the formal duties of flag raising and lowering as part of Cobar’s Remembrance Day commemoration ceremony at Drummond Park on Sunday. Commemorating the centenary of the Armistice that ended the fighting in World War 1, the local service paid tribute to the 416,000 Australian and 120,000 New Zealand men and women who served in WW1.
