
Blossoms added a sixth win to their tally in the Open Mixed Touch competition last Thursday after they accounted for Kiss My Pass 9-7 in Round 6.
Sosie Barton once again led the try scoring for her undefeated Blossoms team with Sosie contributing four points to their tally with her two tries. (Female tries are worth double points.)
Jack Dunn also touched down for two tries for Blossoms and Sarah Nicholson and Justin Bruce added the extras.
Kiss My Pass’s try scorers were Graham Manuai, Kasalia Fakahua, Sophie Clark and Taj Goonrey (2).
Sosie, Kasalia and Taj shared in the referees’ Best & Fairest points.
After Round 6, Makos are also undefeated and last week they pummelled Phat Athletes 19-1.
Brianna Watson, with four tries, led the way for Makos with team mates Aisha Schofield (2), Jack Brown (2), Codi Ellison, Jed Noonan and Rhylee Jeffery also crossing for tries for Makos.
Josh Francisco was the only Phat Athlete able to break through Makos’ defence to score their lone try.
B&F points went to Josh, Jack and Nathan McAndrew (Makos).
Rusty Snails had a good 11-6 win in their Round 6 game with Rock Dogs.
Jennifer Shepherd and Mark McBride scored doubles for Rusty Snails with team mates Corinne McLeod, Jason Kershaw and Nicola Harbison also touching down for tries for Rusty Snails.
Rock Dogs’ try scorers were Kai McCosker (2), Aiden Hyland and Braden Read.
Kai and Corinne shared the game’s B&F points with Casey-Lee Cochrane.
Full Tilt got the better of Guns N Hoses to finish with a 9-3 win in their game.
Damon Bruce (3), Georgia Boland (2), Jackson Cox, Madasan Taylor, Scott Evans and Tadhg McMullen scored tries for Full Tilt with Guns N Hoses’ points coming from tries to Ryan Chillingworth and Alora Deppeler.
Damon and Tadhg earned the referee’s B&F points along with Jayden Cryer (Guns N Hoses).
Concrete Cowboys called all the shots in their Round 6 match up with Fast Fades last week.
Taylah Good (3) and Ash Davies (3) led the scoring for the Cowboys with James Anderson, Neve Carter, Ryan Urquhart and Toby Greenwood also crossing for tries.
Fast Fades’ two points came from a try each to Sam Best and Billy George.
James, Sam and Ryan earned the referees’ B&F points.
