Autobots team transforms to win Fast5 Round 3 game

The Autobots Fast5 netball team (many of whom are more comfortable playing on a
soccer field) have transformed themselves into a handy netball side and last week won their Round 3 encounter with Last Minute.

Autobots, Fast Fobs, Peak Golden Nuggets, Rebounders and Mixed & Matched were all winners in last week’s Fast5 netball games.

Autobots scored their Round 3 win over Last Minute outshooting them 21-10 to claim the victory.

Autobots took the lead from the outset and despite a low scoring second quarter, they powered on to finish with an 11 point win.

Parker Cryer (Autobots) and Daniel Peek (Last Minute) were the game’s Favourite Fivers.

After a close match in the first half, Fast Fobs found another gear in the second half to run away to beat All Class 29-18.

Anita Atuau (Fast Fobs) and Jess Fugar (All Class) were named the Favourite Fivers of the match.

Peak Golden Nuggets put in their best effort in the third quarter of their match against Sisters of Mercy and it paid off.

It was their Power Play round (where points are doubled) and they were able to add 10 points to their total to finish with a
24-13 win.

Peta Hill (Peak Golden Nuggets) and Beigh Hillier (Sisters of Mercy) earned the Favourite Fivers title.

Rebounders were never troubled in their Round 3 match with Shooting Blanks and they finished with a big 44-13 win.

It also didn’t do Shooting Blanks any favours that they had their worst shooting round in their Power Play quarter.

Stevie Toomey (Rebounders) and Jack Eades (Shooting Blanks) were the game’s Favourite Fivers.

Last season’s winners, Mixed & Matched also weren’t troubled by their opposition, Untouchables, and Mixed & Matched finished with a similar winning margin, 44-18.

Sarah Nicholson earned the Favourite Fiver title for Mixed & Matched and Seigrid Peters was named Untouchables’ Favourite Fiver.
