Three Cobar Bowman’s Club members recently competed at the two day Australian Bowhunters Association (ABA) Branch 3D Titles in Singleton.

Senior member Jason Mitchell and junior members James Mitchell and James Anderson had a very successful competition with all three shooters finishing in the top three places of their pool.

Jason Mitchell was third in the Adult Bowhunter Unlimited B category; James Mitchell competed in the Junior Boys Bowhunter Unlimited C category finishing second; and James Anderson took home the third place medal for the Junior Boys Bowhunter Unlimited B category.

At the awards presentation James Mitchell was recognised for a ‘Trophy Class’ goat which he shot in 2014, which was the biggest Junior Feral Goat shot on a national level.

He was presented with a trophy by Branch E Northern NSW Field Representative Karl Peck for the achievement.—contributed
