Golfie makes generous donations

Thirteen local community and sporting groups are the recipients of this year’s Cobar Bowling & Golf Club ClubGRANTS program.

The program is made possible through the support of NSW clubs, local councils and the NSW Government with the Cobar club last week handing out cheques totalling $19,717.60.

Among the recipients were the Golfie men bowlers who will put their donation towards greens maintenance; Golfie lady bowlers (storage cupboard); men golfers (course repairs); lady golfers (travel costs); Kubby House Child Care Centre (playground shade); Copper City Men’s Shed (install an air conditioner in workshop); Cobar Swimming Club (end of season trophies); Cobar Senior Men’s Swimming Club (travel expenses); Cobar Preschool (garden and shade); Cobar Mayoral Chest (will go into general fund to help locals with cancer); Cobar Little A’s (equipment); Cobar Amateur Pistol Club (amenities upgrade) and CareWest Yarrabin (resources).
