Laura Barnes, representing Peak Gold Mines/Aurelia Metals as the major sponsor of this year’s Cobar Weekly Christmas Cheer competition (along with Cobar Powerhouse), presented the winners with their prizes of Cobar Quids on Monday. Candy Picton (Gould Street) won the first place prize of $500 and Cassidi Lawrence (Harcourt Street) collected $350 for second place. Other winners were: 3rd place Kate Lehmann (Morrison Street, $200) and highly commended prizes of $100 went to Bec Everett and Bindi Mundy/Jason Ryan (who had displays in Bradley Street).
