Cobar Police have identified three juveniles believed to have been involved in a theft and a number of vandalism incidents that occurred on Sunday night.
Cobar Police Sergeant Chris Power said the juveniles are believed to be responsible for a number of offences that took place late on Sunday night and in the early hours of Monday morning.
Sergeant Power said tools and spray paint cans were stolen from a vehicle in Margaret Street on Sunday night with the paint being used to mark several road signs and barriers around town.
Sergeant Power said the juveniles will also be questioned about a fire that appears to have been deliberately lit in the cardboard recycling bin behind the Harvey Norman store.
In addition to causing damage to the bin, Cobar Harvey Norman proprietor Jordan Hunter said the fire had the potential to spread into the adjacent warehouse and also the electrical store and destroy thousands of dollars worth of stock.
Mr Hunter said nearby CCTV cameras that may have captured images of the vandals has been supplied to police in an effort to help identify the culprits.
