Yabbies can’t seem to catch Matt

It seems the Yabbies members are having
a hard time of catching Matt Harland who
is way out in front in the Cobar Senior
Men’s Swimming Club Championships
point score hunt this season.
For the third week in a row Harland has
dominated in the pool.
Last week he won every event!
Harland claimed his first win of the night in
the 30 metres handicapped freestyle event
after finishing within 0.03 seconds of his
nominated time.
He won the 50m swim with a time of 0.06
seconds outside his nominated time and was
0.19 seconds off his time to win the 100m
event.
Harland then capped off a great night with a
win in the Brace Relay novelty event, which
was to dive down 15m and retrieve coins from
the bottom of the pool.
Harland teamed up with Cameron van
Breugel and the pair finished the challenge
within 0.06 seconds of their nominated
time.
Picking up points in the minor placings last
week were: 30m—2nd John Carswell (0.09)
and 3rd Murray Harland (0.15); 50m—2nd
van Breugel (0.28) and 3rd Rhys Lloyd
(0.43); 100m—2nd Lloyd (0.35) and 3rd Paul
Swainston (0.38); Brace Relay—2nd Bob
Clark and John Carswell (1.06) and 3rd Lucas
Hardy and Murray Harland (1.12).
