The Cobar Arts Council hosted Foul Play in Farcry, an American Wild West themed Murder Mystery Dinner, at the Services Club on Saturday night.
Arts council secretary Susan Singleton reports it was a fun event with about 30 people attending.
In addition to a wild west themed meal, games and quizzes tested the guests’ skills and reflexes, and throughout the night they were given clues to help them solve the crime of who killed the Sherrif of Farcry.
Bianca Lane’s saloon girls team solved the mystery and Angela Dimond’s team also uncovered who the murderer among them was.
The quickest draw of the night was Dr Snake Oil, aka Ray Chandler, while lucky door prizes (donated by Anita Neate) went to Bridget Miller, Sue Cox and Angela Dimond.
The evening finished with a quick little hoedown.
And who was the murderer? It could have been Dr Snake Oil, Stan d Back, his wife Hellen Back or their son, Ben d Back (who was the sherrif’s assistant), Rob Dabank, Grace Fully (the sherrif’s daughter) or Terry Bull (the town’s lawyer and mortician)?
Cobar Arts Council members are tight-lipped about who it was so you’ll have to ask someone who attended!
