With the Christmas season fast approaching now is the time to be planning your festive display for this year’s Cobar Weekly Christmas Cheer competition.
Aurelia Metals, along with Cobar Powerhouse, are once again joining forces with The Cobar Weekly to offer $1,250 in prizemoney for this year’s competition winners.
Perhaps you’re thinking of doing a National Lampoon Christmas Vacation/Clark Griswold or Melbourne Myer window type of light display?
That would be great, but we really don’t need to see your Christmas lights from outer space because our judges will be doing it from ground level.
The Cobar Girl Guides and Lilliane Brady Village residents will join The Cobar Weekly staff (and a couple of secret guest judges) to determine this year’s winners.
It’s an opportunity to let your imagination run wild, show off your creative flair and get into the Christmas spirit.
Past winners have used twinkling lights, wooden cut-out and inflatable Christmas characters, music, laser and LED light shows and one even had a real Santa sitting in their garage handing out lollies!
First prize is $500 worth of Cobar Quids.
Now we think that’s a pretty good incentive to start decorating!
