A Twenty20 match was the only game played in the Senior Cricket competition on the weekend.
The match was played on Friday night at Ward Oval under lights with a Fill-Ins side (covering for the Bourke District Cricket Association side) taking on the Tilpa Bushies team.
The Fill-Ins batted first and were all out for a total of 44 runs in 13.5 overs.
Slade Neale was the top scorer with 20 runs, while Jacob King and Malkeet ‘Mackie’ Virk were the best bowlers for Tilpa Bushies, taking two and three wickets respectively.
In reply, Tilpa Bushies managed to chase down the target in just 10 overs, with Jacob King (not out on 27) and Zac Broughton, also not out on nine, getting the job done.
Jason Hampel, with two wickets, and Anthony Mitchell (one wicket) were the top bowlers for the Fill-Ins.
It’s the second consecutive win for the Tilpa Bushies who last week beat the Whackers in thrilling style, when they won the match on the last ball of the game.
The scheduled 40 Overs match didn’t go ahead due to a forfeit.
