Two one-sided games were played in Round 2 of the 13-16 years Junior Touch competition on Thursday afternoon at Ward Oval.
Pink Kinis were too good for Blue Bulls winning their match 12-4 and Yellow Cheese Balls thrashed Green Machine 18-3.
For Pink, Sosie Barton and Ethan McLeod scored doubles with Ella Oborn, Evan Wilson, Maddison Jeffery and Rowdy Barton all touching down for a try each.
In reply for Blue, Jaxon Burke, Parker Cryer and Rhylee Patterson scored a try each.
Rowdy, Holly Watt (Blue) and Riley Bruce (Pink) shared in the referee’s B&F points.
There was a long list of try scorers in Yellow’s big win over Green.
Josh Francisco scored three tries with Jack Dunn, Montana Grentell and Rhylee Jeffery all scoring doubles.
Sarah Nicholson, Ashleigh Dalton and Tim Eves also crossed for a try each for Yellow.
Green’s points came from a try each to Halle Snudden and Will Oborn.
B&F points went to Allora Deppeler (Green), Rhylee and Josh.
The Junior 9-12 years match last week between Orange Orangutans and Blue Takis finished in a 4-all draw.
It was an intense, close game throughout with the scores locked at 2-all at half time.
Josh Gillette and Judd Josephson scored two early tries for Orange to which Keelan Atuau and Tommy George replied with a first half try each for Blue.
Kasalia Fakahua scored a second half try for Orange (female tries are worth two points) and Taj Goonrey ran in a double to tie up the final score to 4-all.
Keelan, Kasalia and Maddox Best (Blue) collected the referee’s Best & Fairest points.
The other Round 2 9-12 years game resulted in a 10-7 win for Red Cherries over Yellow Bananas.
Bria-June Brookman (2), Corey Cleary (2) and Alfie Toomey (2) led the scoring for their Red team with Austin Kane and Zethan Orcher also crossing for a try each.
Yellow’s try scorers were Isabelle Gillette (2), Brock Eves, George Wainiqolo and Thomas Knight.
Isabelle, Corey and Ella Armstrong (Yellow) shared the game’s B&F points.
