The Cobar Netball Association held a Mixed Twilight Carnival at the Ward Oval courts on Saturday night. Extreme heat kept the numbers low with only 30 players (enough for four teams) turning up. Teams were picked out of a hat and played a round robin tournament. After winning both their pool games, Green (pictured above) went straight into the grand final where they came up against White who won their spot on a ‘for and against’ count back. Green “bribed” their way to a grand final win after they “bought” a few points to win the match 34-16. Funds raised from the day will go towards the clubs representative players’ costs of travel, accommodation, uniforms and registration fees for carnivals.
