There was a good turnout of 16 competitors for the Cobar Athletics & Triathlon Squad’s (CATS) third event of the season on Sunday at the Cobar Memorial Swimming Pool.
Skyla Fairfull finished as the handicap winner after recording personal best (PB) times in her ride and run legs to shave off more than five minutes on her previous best result in the Short Course (300m swim/10km ride/2km run).
Khan Fugar, with PBs in his swim and run legs, bettered his previous best time by eight seconds to finish second in the handicap and third place was filled by Team Knee Hi Tri (Amanda Hyland and Greg McKervey) after Hyland improved on their run time.
Three other PBs were recorded on the day by Zach Finn, Axel Fairfull and Chris Powell.
