Rescue teams tested

Local photographer Klae McGuinness captured some confronting images from the NSW Mines Rescue Challenge held in Cobar over the weekend—thankfully they were all simulated accidents and scenarios! 10 teams from across the state took part in the challenge at Ward Oval over three days with events including underground search and rescue, firefighting, road accident rescue, triage and vertical rescue. CSA Mine’s team was judged as the winner of the Espirit de Corp trophy recognising the team which best performed in the spirit of the event.
