Kinga Macpherson and Amy Raveneau (seated at front) from Volunteering Central West held a Volunteer Recruitment Forum at the council chambers on Monday night with a dozen representatives from various local sporting and community groups in attendance. The forum aimed to give locals practical ideas on how to recruit and retain new volunteers to their organisations. Another Q&A workshop will be held tomorrow night at the Cobar Bowling & Golf Club for anyone with questions about risk related issues for volunteers, including boards and committees.
